Medieval fantasy in my heart

Since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by stories set in the Middle Ages – there is something undoubtedly atmospheric and stirring about them. When reading medieval fantasy, I am automatically transported to another realm where, as a little child sat by fire, I am listening to an old bard recounting extraordinary stories about faraway lands, knights and castles – and my anxious, excited eyes are following his mouth, thirsty for each word to unveil the epic, mysterious ending before me…

That’s why I turned to writing – why I turn to it everyday. It’s such a safe and extraordinary world where all beauty can happen and I am in control. I’ve heard once that we, humans, all have the desire to create something and to call it ours – this must be a trait given to us by to God. We were made in His resemblance, after all.
